Local 504 members proudly traveled to Springfield on March 25th to advocate for HB 4416, the Unemployment Equity Act, standing alongside our union sisters & brothers to make our voices heard before Illinois legislators.
Through direct engagement with lawmakers, powerful testimony, and visible solidarity, our members and allies demonstrated the importance of protecting economic security and fairness for education workers and public service employees across the state.
We are excited to share that HB 4416 has officially passed the Labor Committee, marking an important step forward in the legislative process.
