LCFT proudly sent 40 delegates to this year’s Illinois Federation of Teachers Convention, making up a strong voice among the 404 total attendees. Delegates from 35 locals, representing over 75,700 members, came together to shape the future of our union.

LCFT delegates were front and center— attending workshops, engaging in conversations, voting on impactful resolutions, and helping elect a new IFT leadership team. Resolutions passed focused on transforming education and public services through increased funding and political advocacy.

This year’s convention was a testament to the strength and solidarity of our union family—and LCFT was right at the heart of it.
