Your Union is here to provide support and service as you perform your duties as a teacher or as an educational support staff professional.

There is strength in numbers and as a member of the Lake County Federation of Teachers you join with over 5,500 educational employees countywide.  You are joined by over 80,000 members statewide as a member of the Illinois Federation of Teachers and over 1,100,000 members nationwide as part of the American Federation of Teachers.  While our size gives us clout, our ability to provide individual service to every member is what makes me proud to be part of our Union.
